Southern African Transport Exchange is an independent transport exchange for the South African market and Sub Sahara region. The membership is restricted solely to Accredited transport professionals – be they road haulage companies, freight forwarders, owner operators or logistics companies.

The site provides a real-time venue for the exchange of trade information about empty vehicles, haulage loads and sub-contract haulage jobs throughout Southern Africa.

What is the Southern African Transport Exchange Platform for?

The Southtrex platform is for transport companies, individual drivers and freight forwarders – it is used to quickly locate and get available jobs from companies or individuals who will need the transportation services.

How do you register ?

The registration is simple, as you can fill in the registration form on www.southtrex.com. Our professional team will verify your application and you will receive a SMS notification with your registration details

Southrex SMS platform

Our platform also has a friendly and easy to use SMS based platform.In the SMS Platform available loads are broadcast to qualifying drivers within a 10 km radius of the pickup point of the load.

The broadcast SMS notifies the qualifying transporters the load details which are the source location of the job,the destination of the load,weight, distance,the nature of the load and the closing time of the bidding.

The transporters respond to the system with their quotations / rates and after the process ends the winning transporter will be notified and receive a booking directly to the Southtrex mobile app or SMS with full details including; contact names, addresses, references, consignment details and any special instructions.
